The strength of PVCC is its members, the people who care deeply about the life of this wonderful fellowship. Our creativity and care were on full display when we met on February 10th after worship to discuss the church’s Human Rights Manifesto and the Pine Valley Mission Statement. Lorrie Beck has compiled all the notes and ideas. The Ministerial Search Team is combing through the ideas to make suggestions for revising both the Manifesto and the Mission Statement. Members of the team are also sorting the ideas according the three goals we have affirmed: Growing Spiritually, Growing Leadership, and Growing Relationships. Once the team has had a chance to meet and compare notes, we will come up with a way to make a report to the Mission Council and to the congregation. Then we will be able to decide what action steps we want to take. But we are already in gear. The Faith Sharing Team is promoting the Faith and Labor Forum which in on March 8th at 7:00 pm. The Hospitality Team is planning for a continental breakfast on Easter Sunday, March 31st. Our Teaching, Wisdom and Knowledge Team and the Worship, Arts and Ministry Team are talking about a special worship service on April 21st–Earth Sunday. Many of us have signed up for Love Wichita, which is on April 27th. If you have some ideas that you want to share, please visit with a member of the Mission Council or with me. Thank you.
Blessings, David Henson
